Brought back from Indochina in 1828, the mandarin tree has since flourished on the western shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Facing the Strait of Messina, it shapes the Calabrian landscape without a hint of bitterness. The sweetness of the mandarin alludes to ancient times when its essential oils formed an elegant and fragrant grammar.
